Elizabeth Hoover traveled all over the country talking to indigenous communities about their food traditions, local gardening and agriculture initiatives, and what it could mean to have food self-sufficiency. She’s professor of American Studies at Brown University, and she’ll be giving a talk, “From ‘Garden Warriors’ to ‘Good Seeds’: Indigenizing the Local Food Movement” on Thursday March 21,at 6:30 pm at the James A. Little Theater at the School for the Deaf, sponsored by the School for Advanced Research
