Melanie Mitchell‘s new book, Artificial Intelligence: A Guide for Thinking Humans, is a highly readable and fascinating account of where we are today with AI — and no, we will not be enslaved by super-intelligent robots any time soon.
Mitchell is a computer scientist at Portland State University and external faculty at the Santa Fe Institute. She’ll be giving a community lecture on Tuesday, November 12, at 7:30 at the Lensic Performing Arts Center, sponsored by the Santa Fe Institute.
